Medieval charm and a dreamy Christmas atmosphere make the Reiterlesmarkt a very special event every year. For four weeks, visitors have the opportunity to stroll through the market square, the Gr\u00fcner Platz and the Kirchplatz and feast on magically fragrant delicacies. Many craftsmen exhibit their products at the small Christmas stalls, which are particularly suitable as beautiful gifts. Today, the Christmas market looks back on 500 years of tradition and tells its visitors its very own story.<\/p>\n

Covering more than 250 square meters, the Christmas museum sparkles in every corner. In the museum, which has been in existence since 1981, visitors learn all about the origins of Christmas and its tradition. The traditional specialty is a crumbly egg dough, which is prepared in special bells and baked with vegetable fat. Since the Middle Ages, the Schneeballen has been baked as a sweet delicacy for celebrations and festivals. Today, the traditional pastry can be found mainly at the romantic Reiterlesmarkt and in specialty stores in the old town. To ensure that there is something for everyone, the balls consist of a wide variety of fillings, from nougat to marzipan.<\/p>\n
